Moving out of my parents’ house has been “the best of times and the worst of times, as they say.” I’m not a socially dysfunctional, basement-dwelling freeloader, but I was comfortable at home. I know my mom isn’t eager to see me leave the nest, and my dad has never pressured me. I think he’s coddling my mom, as he always does, but I also don’t think he really cares.
