Father Jakob taught me that despite the outward teachings of the church, men in the brotherhood of priests should support one another, even when it means comforting each other in their sexual desires. My first time with Father Jakob was an incredible, almost spiritual experience. I never imagined that my sexual desires would be accepted by the church. I wanted to become a priest to escape my desires for other men; or at least, to learn to resist them by dedicating myself to the Church, but now I find that they are at the heart of my spiritual devotion.
