The Pledge – Adam Snow, Zac Steele
Man, I love it when a new Scout joins our troop. There’s always a little thrill of excitement associated with trying to figure out what they’re going to bring to the table and what kind of man you can carve out of the raw material they’re presenting you. I pride myself on being able to quickly hone in on a kid’s potential. Some have brains, some have strength, wit, cunning, instinct, creativity. Every once in a while you meet someone who seems to have all of those skills—and then, well, then all bets are off.
Young Zac has an extraordinary aura about him. Tall, handsome, athletic, and confident, he has a steely quality that implies ambition and intelligence. In short, he intrigues me.
