Meeting Mark
We present our new model Mark in the style of one of the illicit encounters he enjoys so much – and quite regularly. We were given a very specific time: a maximum of two hours, which represents an extremely limiting task for a photographer who wants to create some quality content and tell a good story. However, on a first date, we were happy to give in to this interesting man’s demands.
Mark is thirty years old and does something quite glamorous and powerful in the city and enjoys a very stable family life – he’s simply a serial exhibitionist and risk-taker. ‘Serial’ seems like an appropriate word to describe Mark, as the fictional character Patrick Bateman kept coming to mind when we talked to him. Mark loves labels and luxury and pragmatically described what he hoped to gain from his session with us, and for a man who is so careful about covering his tracks and revealing so little about his private life, he felt very comfortable giving an oblivious solo performance.
People in stressful positions often need to relax in increasingly extreme ways and Mark is no exception: there is clearly a lot more to him than meets the eye. We know he leads a mysterious and colorful life and we think getting to know him will be like peeling back the layers of an exotic artichoke: slowly, one by one.
